Looking for peace

Hide under a rock,
Dive in a stream,
Stop to talk,
Run far away in your dream,
Grasp the wisp of dawn,
Catch the sheen,
As its feather light,
Bright and serene,
Ring, let it ring,
And wait for the echo,
It might bring,
What you were waiting for!

Thoughtful darkness

When the lights go out;
Dust settles down
Darkness is everywhere,
East, west, north and south,
You wait and watch for the sun to come out,
Till you realize,
In darkness is freedom,
The kaleidoscope of thoughts, desires;
And things that can never be screamed out loud!

Death Valley

I don't exist
I am sound
The waft of smoke
Only visible from a distance
Coming from the earth
Swallowed by the sky
I am in the hourglass
Going from one side to another
Never finding peace
Rushing back and forth
Until exhausted
As time stops

Buried in sand
For how long;
Nobody knows;
Time had stopped
But then appeared a glimmer of hope
Glistening under the desert sun
Extending tender hands and
Guiding gently

..... And we walked in the desert
Singing out loud
As the wind carried it far
Far away to the vastness
Mountains, behind which are Native reserves
Serene, quiet, adorned with cacti and boulders
