I fear...

Do I sound very proud and pompous when I say that I have the capacity to write like some of the words that people quote? That for me at times it comes as easy as breathing does to all of us? But for all of that to happen, I must be in a certain mind frame. A mind frame that normally is frowned upon and dismissed as being abnormal. I fear the judgement heaped on me for not being capable to live the mundane. For not comprehending the ignorance embedded within some that enables them to accept the mundane without question.

"It’s a temptation for any intelligent person, and especially for perfectionists such as the ancients..."

“It’s a temptation for any intelligent person, and especially for perfectionists such as the ancients and ourselves, to try to murder the primitive, emotive, appetitive self. But that is a mistake. Because it is dangerous to ignore the existence of the irrational. The more cultivated a person is, the more intelligent, the more repressed, then the more he needs some method of channeling the primitive impulses he’s worked so hard to subdue. Otherwise those powerful old forces will mass and strengthen until they are violent enough to break free, more violent for the delay, often strong enough to sweep the will away entirely.”

“Unhappy endings are just as important as happy endings. They’re an efficient way of transmitting vital Darwinian information. Your brain needs them to make maps of the world, maps that let you know what sorts of people and situations to avoid.”

Boiling tears

Little specks of star dust,

Thinking we have the universe within,

Made up of anatomical voids,

None of which can sustain eternally,

Reaching out to others like us,

Too late at times perhaps,

Forgetting that those we hurt,

Are like us, made of flesh and blood,

With broken wings and charred insides,

Accumulated over years of perpetual emotional slaughter,

Just a heap of words and feelings at times boiling in tears!
